Why do I have to give yahoo personal information in a non-secure email to obtain info on how yahoo mail works?
I have some questions regarding the BULK email folder in yahoo mail but when I ask them of the support centre they want me to provide personal information, including my "secret" question and answer in an unsecure email. This does not seem intelligent to me. And why can I not get general information without "proving" that I am the yahoo user that I claim to be.

don't ever give personal information out. It could be a trick. They would never ask you to provide such and especially not in an unsecured manner

The advantage of this system is that the OS stays intact.

Reply:Hey....both Zac and Cat are right...
In Firefox, you right click on the mouse and select 'Copy Email Address' and then paste (Ctrl + V) in the address bar of your Yahoo mail or whichever that you use......and in IE, right click and select 'Copy Link Location'
Simple and you are done...

You made me think about that.. guess what I just did, I wrote my email address on Google and clicked search and a lot of my information came up.
Actually I was able to find real personal information online about myself using my real name but with my e-mail address I was only able to find myself on things like sites I've joined etc. So I think you're basically safe if the other people don't have access to your name and birthdate.
Just remember to be careful sweety!!!
