My Personal Email Printed And Distributed to Boss. What To Do ?

I left My Email Logged On to my Computer At Work, And the Next person Came on Shift Opened Internet explorer Went to Yahoo,And went threw some of my emails How Many is undeterminded but had 2 hours to browse and Print Copies. I am Currently in the Orginzing Stage Of Starting a Union here At my work And This Individuals Name comes up alot in my emails Because she isnt for the union.So the One Email she printed was between Me and another worker And It referanced trying to call me to work for her,I told her No because and in my email i said She dosent help me so wtf am i gonna help her.f'ing retarded.the Co worker that replyed said She should get Some brain cells.Thats the Email My Boss Gave me back Said i should Handle the situation my Self.so I wasnt in trouble there But Coworker Was P'Od.I am not Apologizing because I stand by My words,But she has insinuated about other emails she browsed to the Other Person saying She Is going to Open a Lawsuit,I know it isnt valid.I feel violated..

Despite the fact that you left yourself logged on to your personal email, I feel that co-worker had no right whatsoever to invade your privacy.





It might be a bit different if the email was your company email address. But again, no co-worker should be reading your email.





I think its great that your boss is giving you the chance to handle it yourself.





I too would stick by my word as well. I would find it hard to believe that she would have a valid lawsuit.

Reply:sounds like you were using Company equipment for non-company business and or personal use and most likely a violation of company policy. It's your fault for not taking routine safety and security procedures to secure your computer and files.
