I recieved a email from yahoo, wanting me to verify personal info or they will cancel my account. is it real?

the email wanted my email, password, birthdate, %26amp; my country, to let them know i want my yahoo acct., in 24 hrs, or they will delete me from system. Is this real or a scam ? I need to know.

Reply:Any e-mail like this is likely a scam. No website or company should need to verify any sort of information like this. Don't send anybody anything.
Reply:this sounds like a scam. first yahoo would not need your password or your birth date. It sounds like someone is trying to phish your computer. I would not reply to it
